Hello all and welcome to Awakened by Adventure,

I've always had an itch for exploring new things and discovering the hidden gems of the world. I found myself getting bored in one place rather fast, so I'd always have to find new and exciting things to do/discover to keep my interest. I first really uncovered my passion and drive for traveling when I went out of the country, without my family, for the first time in 2014. I headed to Israel on a tour with about 28 new strangers, who would soon turn close friends and decided, on this trip, I had to push myself. I vowed to try new things, be open, and eat EVERYTHING. My once picky self, was all of a sudden trying all types of new foods, being open to new places, and thriving to discover the local scene of a new place. Since then, I've embarked on many adventures where I swear to find the local, hidden gems, and really, truly, discover a new place, culture, or people and let myself be AWAKENED by adventure.

Eventually I studied abroad in Florence, Italy and fell in love with the Italian culture and country. After many years of dreaming, I finally moved back to Florence.
